Tyler Ruks has been involved with mineral exploration and related research since 2000, most recently as President of Seven Devils Exploration, Ltd. and Chief Geologist and co-founder of West Cirque Resources, which was acquired by Robert Friedland’s Kaizen Discovery in 2014. His work in the junior mining sector has focused on porphyry copper-gold exploration, and resulted in multi-million dollar funding partnerships with several major mining companies and trading houses, including Freeport McMoRan, ITOCHU, and Antofogasta. On the technical side, he has experience with a variety of mineral deposit types, ranging from porphyry through epithermal, sediment- and volcanic-hosted environments. He completed his BSc (Hon.) at the University of Victoria in 2002, his MSc (Geology) at Laurentian University in 2004, and his PhD (Geology) at the University of British Columbia in 2015.
Nigel Luckman, BASc, PGeoChief Operating Officer
Nigel has worked in the mineral exploration industry since 1988 with a number of companies including Reliance Geological, Southwestern Resources, Canabrava Diamonds, as VP Corporate Development for Paget Resources, Chief Operating Officer for West Cirque Resources and Senior Geologist with Kaizen Discovery. He has varied expertise in project management, placer mining, permitting, logistics, software development, geophysical interpretation, data management and resource modelling and has worked throughout North and South America. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with B.A.Sc. in geological engineering and is a Professional Geoscientist with APEGBC.
John Meekison, CPA, CMA Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Secretary
John Meekison is a career Chief Financial Officer and investment banker. In addition to Sojourn, he currently serves as CFO of Exro Technologies Inc. Previously, Mr. Meekison was Director of Capital Markets at Evans & Evans Inc., a financial advisory firm and the Chief Financial Officer and a founder of iCo Therapeutics Inc. a pharmaceutical development company. In addition to approximately 13 years of public and private company CFO experience, Mr. Meekison has over 15 years’ experience raising equity capital for public and private companies as an investment banker at firms in Vancouver and Toronto.
Mr. Meekison received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (Certified Management Accountant) and Professional Logistician.
Jeff Kyba, BSc, PGeo Vice President Exploration
Jeff has been active in the mineral and petroleum industry since he was old enough to listen. Prospecting, exploring and overall fascination with the natural world led to a degree in Earth and Ocean Science from the University of Victoria in 2007. Various field appointments for junior and mid-tier exploration companies and the BC Geological Survey took him throughout northern British Columbia and Australia. His experience spans grassroots exploration to deposit delineation for precious and base metals as well as five years of regional oversight of all exploration and mining projects in northwestern BC on behalf of the BC Ministry of Mines.

Greg Beischer, BSc, CPGDirector
Greg Beischer is a geologist and mining engineering technologist, and a seasoned and skilled explorer of BC’s northwestern terrain known as the Golden Triangle. Beischer is the current President and a Director of Millrock Resources Inc. He was previously with Vale (formally Inco Limited) and the Bristol Bay Native Corporation. He is a certified professional geologist (#10505) with the American Institute of Professional Geologists. He is also the past President of the Alaska Miners Association, and serves on the Alaska Minerals Commission.
David Broughton, PhD, PGeoDirector
David was Executive Vice-President Exploration with Ivanplats Ltd (now Ivanhoe Mines) from January 2008 through October 2016. Prior to joining Ivanhoe Mines he was Exploration Manager, Sediment-Hosted Copper Deposits for Phelps Dodge Exploration Corp./Freeport Exploration. Upon retirement from Ivanhoe in October 2016 David became Senior Advisor, Exploration and Geology for Ivanhoe and also consults for a number of Canadian ventures. David holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the University of Waterloo and a Ph.D. from the Colorado School of Mines. While with Ivanhoe, David was co-leader of the Kamoa Discovery team that was the 2015 recipient of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada’s (PDAC) prestigious Thayer Lindsley Award for International Mineral Discovery, and co-recipient of AME BC’s 2016 Colin Spence Award for Excellence in Mineral Exploration, for the discovery of the Platreef deposit. He was recently awarded the Des Pretorius Memorial Award from the Geological Society of South Africa for lifetime achievement in economic geology.
Joel Dumaresq is the CEO and Chairman of Molori Energy Inc. He is also the co-founder and a Managing Director of Matrix Partners Inc., a Canadian private-equity and merchant banking group. Prior to the establishment of Matrix Partners Inc., he was the President of Greenwater Forest Products, and worked in investment banking and financial services with RBC Dominion Securities from 1985-1995.

John brings over 30 years of mineral exploration experience, most recently as VP Exploration for West Cirque Resources and Seven Devils Exploration Ltd. He has an MSc(Geology) from the University of British Columbia (1988) and is a Professional Geoscientist (APEGBC, 1993). He has worked for a variety of public and private companies in senior management roles. His geological expertise ranges from project generation and evaluations to project management. He has worked throughout the Canadian Cordillera as well as Nevada, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Ecuador.

JoAnne Nelson, MSc, PGeo Technical Advisor
JoAnne is one of the foremost experts on the tectonics and metallogeny of the BC Cordillera, developed over 30 years of detailed field studies, from the Rocky Mountains through the inner accreted terranes (Yukon-Tanana, Quesnellia, Stikinia) to the Insular terranes of the coast, including structural and geochonological studies of the Mesozoic porphyry belt of the Golden Triangle. In 2013 she was listed in the top 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining by the United Kingdom’s Standard Bank. In 2015, she was presented with the Gold Pick Award by the Kamloops Exploration Group (KEG) in recognition of “outstanding services and contributions to the minerals industry”. AMEBC awarded her a Special Tribute for scientific leadership in 2016, and in 2017 she received the Canadian Provincial and Territorial Geologists’ medal.
